Audible are delighted to present Sleeping Beauty , a unique listening experience for all the family to enjoy over the Christmas season. This exclusive new audio drama has been created in collaboration with the London Symphony Orchestra and is inspired by Tchaikovsky's beloved ballet music.

So, what better way to usher in the festivities than with a classic folk story set to a stirring score performed by the London Symphony Orchestra? A retelling of the story of Princess Aurora and the somnolent curse that befalls her kingdom, this engrossing fantastical drama makes the perfect companion for a warm, cozy blanket, a mug of tea, and a windy, wintry day. And so it is that a girl with a head full of stories - powerful tales-within-the-tale of queens and kings, mermaids and wolves - ventures into a dark wood in search of the castle of one who wishes her dead. The best kidlit writers find ways to negotiate the difficult space between darkness and light, and Kate DiCamillo is a shining example. I count several of her stories as personal favorites, none higher than The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane —that is, until now, thanks to The Beatryce Prophecy.

And narrator Finty Williams is an inspired choice to bring those memorable lines to life. It has an emotional rhythm that begs to be heard. He claims to have been blown off course and goes on to tell them that there is such a thing as a "tesseract", which, if you didn't know, is a wrinkle in time. Meg's father had been experimenting with time travel when he suddenly disappeared. Will Meg, Charles Wallace, and their friend Calvin outwit the forces of evil as they search through space for their father? By: Madeleine L'Engle. Students are found as though turned to stone Dobby's sinister predictions seem to be coming true. Sirius Black, escaped mass-murderer and follower of Lord Voldemort, is on the run - and they say he is coming after Harry. In his first ever Divination class, Professor Trelawney sees an omen of death in Harry's tea leaves But perhaps most terrifying of all are the Dementors patrolling the school grounds, with their soul-sucking kiss.
